Kitten Information

All kittens are reared in our house as members of the family. When the kittens leave home to bond with their new family, they will be 10 weeks old, weaned, vaccinated, vet checked, healthy, litter trained.

Care and Training

The Birman cat has a beautiful temperament and a striking appearance. They are all warm and fuzzy and only softly vocal when it is time for tucker. They are a hardy cat with few health problems.

Grooming: They possess a single layer medium length coat. They rarely have a problem with matting of the fur. They love to be cuddled and brushed, and end up playing with said brush. The occasional brush and comb is fun for both of you.

Feed: We recommend a good high quality dry food, a little wet food, and fresh meat or chicken. Keep plenty of clean fresh water available at all times.

Training: No need. They teach themselves about the litter box by watching Mum and usually leave the nursery fully litter trained. They like to use the litter box minutes after you have cleaned it and may even wait until you do so, just to show you they are good little cats.

Temperament: If you are looking for a cat to love you – you have found it. They bond with their humans for life. They are curious but not destructive and will not normally be concerned with climbing curtains or lounges. They are very happy to spend most their time indoors watching what you are doing and helping where possible!!!! If you go out to work they will be waiting to greet you when you return home, remind you that it is tucker time, and will generally sleep on your bed at night.
